Chapman Lee (the Lees), individually and as administrators of the estate of their minor child, Jeanne Elise Lee (Jeanne Elise), commenced these proceedings on April 4, 1984, to recover damages for the injuries Jeanne Elise sustained as the result of an automobile accident which occurred on October 29, 1983.1 The Lees named as the defendants:
