OPINION
WEISBERGER, Justice.
This case comes before us on appeal by the defendant, James H. Germano, from a judgment of conviction entered in the Superior Court on four counts of possession of a firearm after having been convicted of a crime of violence in violation of G.L. 1956 (1981 Reenactment) § 11-47-5.
