Appellant Tyrone Gray appeals from the order of the district court denying his motion to vacate, set aside or correct sentence under 28 U.S.C. § 2255 on the ground of ineffective assistance of counsel. Gray's claim was based, inter alia, on his trial counsel's failure to conduct any pre-trial investigation, hire an investigator to conduct such investigation, or contact potential witnesses.
