The appellant in this workers' compensation case sustained compensable back injuries while employed by the appellee in 1969 and 1970. The appellant requested a hearing in November 1972, contending that he was permanently and totally disabled. The administrative law judge (ALJ) awarded the appellant a permanent partial disability rating of fifty-five percent to the body as a whole. The Commission affirmed the ALJ's decision in July 1983.
