Roberto Barcenas Lara and Pedro Baca were convicted, following a joint trial in the district court,1 of two counts of aiding and abetting the knowing and intentional distribution of cocaine in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) (1982) and 18 U.S.C. § 2 (1982).
