Defendants-appellants Marie and Paul Pomeroy appeal the judgment of the district court ordering specific performance of an option to buy immovable property verbally exercised by plaintiff-appellee Claudia Pittman. In the alternative, appellants ask this court to award damages which they argue they sustained as a result of having to pay taxes, insure, and service the debt of the subject property.
