On September 16, 1987, defendant-appellant Michael J. Adams was charged with Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor (Count I), and Operating a Vehicle with .10%, or more, by weight of alcohol in his blood, a Class C misdemeanor (Count II).1 Trial by jury was held on March 17, 1988.
