OPINION

WEAVER, Chief Justice.

This is a tort cause of action. Appellee, James Bradley, sued appellant, Dennis Caskey, for injuries sustained in a traffic accident in Tarrant County, Texas, on October 1, 1983. The jury found each of the parties equally negligent and awarded Bradley $72,800 damages plus $36,007.32 in prejudgment interest.
