Dwayne P. Jones, defendant, was charged with possession of cocaine. La. R.S. 40:967. Following an unsuccessful attempt to suppress the evidence against him, the defendant withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a guilty plea, while reserving his right to appeal the court's ruling on the motion to suppress. State v. Crosby, 338 So.2d 584 (La.1976). He was sentenced to serve five years imprisonment...
