The defendant was charged with forcible rape, La.R.S. 14:42.1, and aggravated burglary, La.R.S. 14:60. A jury found him guilty as charged on both counts. As to the forcible rape count, the defendant was sentenced to forty (40) years at hard labor with credit for time served, without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
