The defendant, Joseph Groce, was charged by grand jury indictment, with two counts of distribution of cocaine (Counts 1 and 3) and one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (Count 2), in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967, and with two counts of distribution of heroin (Counts 4 and 5), in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966.
