This case comes before us on the appeal of Fitchburg Mutual Fire Insurance Company (Fitchburg) from a judgment entered in the Superior Court in favor of Barbara Corrente (Corrente) in the sum of $16,650 (together with statutory interest in the sum of $10,989, making a total judgment of $27,639) in compensatory damages for theft loss, and $25,000 in punitive damages as a result of alleged bad faith on the part of Fitchburg in...
