This is a workers' compensation case. Jesus Hernandez brought suit against his employer's workers' compensation insurance carrier, Transamerica Insurance Company of Texas (TIC), for an incapacity caused by a back injury he sustained on January 4, 1985 while making a delivery for his employer, Ramirez Distributing Company.
