Thelma Horne, defendant, was indicted1 by a Jefferson Parish Grand Jury with the first degree murder of Andre Daigle while in the perpetration of an armed robbery, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30. Following trial by a twelve person jury, defendant was convicted on the responsive verdict of second degree murder and given the mandatory sentence of life imprisonment at hard labor...
