Saul Johnson was indicted by an Orleans Parish grand jury on two counts of first degree murder in connection with the deaths of Sue Windham and Earline Nunn. At trial, the prosecution sought to establish that he murdered Sue Windham while engaged in the perpetration of aggravated rape, and then murdered Earline Nunn while engaged in the perpetration of aggravated kidnapping.
