Robert Walls was convicted by a jury of murder in the first degree, robbery in the first degree and burglary in the first degree. The jury assessed his punishment at death for the murder, life imprisonment for the robbery, and thirty years imprisonment for the burglary. The Court entered judgment accordingly; this Court affirmed on direct appeal. State v. Walls,
