Plaintiff Irene Meyer filed a three-count petition against two defendants: her son, Eugene Walter Meyer ("Gene"), and Gene's wife, Mary Sue Meyer ("Mary"). In Count I plaintiff sought to eject defendants from an 80-acre tract of land owned by plaintiff. In Count II plaintiff sought actual and punitive damages for defendants' alleged wrongful occupancy.
