HOGAN, Judge.

A jury found Willard Russell Woods guilty of capital murder in violation of § 565.001, RSMo 1978, now repealed. Punishment was fixed at imprisonment for life without eligibility for parole or probation for 50 years pursuant to § 565.008, RSMo 1978, also now repealed.
