The Circuit Court granted respondent's motion for summary judgment, finding that the three-year statute of limitations provided by the Federal Employers' Liability Act (FELA), 45 U.S.C. §§ 51-60 (1982), had expired. Plaintiff appealed. The Court of Appeals, Eastern District, affirmed the judgment of the trial court but transferred the case to this Court because of the general interest or importance.
