YETKA, Justice.

Defendant, Sachet Gilbert, was found guilty by a district court jury of attempted second-degree intentional murder. Although the presumptive sentence for the offense by one with his criminal history score was 128 months, defendant was sentenced by the trial court to 240 months, or 20 years, in prison, the statutory maximum for attempted second-degree intentional murder.
