On April 14, 1987, defendant, Anthony Broussard, was charged by bill of information with the crime of armed robbery, a violation of La.R.S. 14:64. On July 2, 1987, a jury of twelve unanimously found the defendant guilty as charged. On January 6, 1988, his motions for arrest of judgment and for new trial were denied.
