Defendant, Dewey Foster, was charged by information, in the circuit court of Du Page County, with the offense of possession of a stolen or converted vehicle (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 95 1/2, par. 4-103(a)(1)). Following a bench trial, defendant was found guilty and sentenced to 30 days in jail and a four-year term of probation.
