This civil rights action, prosecuted pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983, has its genesis in the arrest of plaintiff, Douglas Eigeman, in November of 1983 by the defendants, John Erickson and Randy Lester, who at the time were police officers employed by the City of Great Falls, Montana.
