Plaintiff, Rita L. Trahan, was injured in an automobile accident on November 3, 1982. She filed a petition for damages against the driver of the other vehicle, Bobby W. Thomas, his employer, Gator Industries, Inc. (Gator), and their primary insurer, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company (State Farm).
