This appeal is from a summary judgment in a suit by homeowners against their insurer and its adjuster, seeking moneys due and damages in tort in a house fire claim.

The fire took place at the Metairie residence of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick J. Alarcon, Jr. on February 19, 1986. Aetna Casualty and Surety Company, the insurer, sent its adjuster, Kim A. Goodwill, immediately to evaluate the damage, and he in turn brought in a contractor to estimate...
