LAVORATO, Justice.

Employers of workers' compensation claimants have immunity under Iowa Code section 85.20 (1985) for negligent acts toward such claimants. The statute gives co-employees of workers' compensation claimants only limited immunity for the same acts. The issue we must decide is whether such a distinction in liability is a denial of equal protection under the fourteenth amendment to the United States Constitution and article 1, section 6 of the Iowa Constitution...
