The defendant, Michael J. Mims, was charged by bill of information with distribution of marijuana, LSA-R.S. 40:967. Pursuant to a plea agreement, the defendant pled guilty to attempted distribution of marijuana, LSA-R.S. 40:967 and 14:27. The trial court sentenced him to three years at hard labor, suspended, and placed him on three years supervised probation conditioned upon his serving weekends in the parish jail for six months.
