Defendant, James V. Faulkner, appeals his September 9, 1987, conviction of murder following a jury trial in the circuit court of Williamson County.

The following evidence was adduced at trial. The defendant's son, also named James Faulkner, and known as Jimmy Faulkner, stated that sometime around July 4, 1984, his mother, father and the victim had gone out drinking together...
