This appeal involves a suit for injuries sustained in an automobile accident. On December 19, 1985, plaintiff, Gerald H. Sanders, Jr., was driving his father's van. He was stopped at a red traffic signal when a vehicle driven by defendant, Mrs. Jody T. Collins, collided into the rear of the van.
