Martin-Trigona, a former candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, sued the Iowa Democratic Party and Elaine Baxter, who is the Iowa Secretary of State, seeking declaratory and injunctive relief regarding the conduct of the 1988 Iowa Democratic presidential caucuses.
