Defendant was convicted of manufacturing a controlled substance, ORS 475.992, after the trial court declined to suppress evidence found in his pickup truck. Police officers found the evidence, marijuana plants in closed boxes, after they unlawfully stopped defendant's vehicle at a roadblock and defendant acquiesced in a search of the boxes rather than wait for one of the officers to obtain a search warrant.
