These two consolidated actions for declaratory judgment concern a rural road in DeSoto Parish which traverses land owned by IP Timberland Operating Company, Ltd., and members of the Scurlock family. These landowners leased their adjoining property to the Sand Hill Hunting Club (hereinafter referred to as "Sand Hill").
