Belverly White appeals her conviction, by a jury, of the manslaughter of her adopted four-year-old daughter, Jean Anneshia, primarily contending that the evidence was insufficient to convict.1

She also contends that the jury should not have been allowed to view photographs of the victim in the jury room during deliberations and that she was denied the right to present a defense because the court would not recess...
