Samuel Hoyt Hubbard and Gary Robert Reach were both indicted for the offense of trafficking in cannabis, in violation of § 20-2-80, Code of Alabama 1975. The jury found the appellants "guilty as charged in the indictment." A sentencing hearing was held, at which the trial judge granted a defense motion for judgment of acquittal as to the trafficking conviction. He then found the appellants guilty of possession...
