LEMMON, Justice.

The principal issue in this case is whether defendant's conviction must be reversed and a new trial ordered because the bailiff during jury deliberations communicated with the jurors about the matter pending before the court.

Defendant and Mac Musgrove were charged with distribution of marijuana. Musgrove pleaded guilty and appeared as a state witness at defendant's trial, testifying that he handed a bag of marijuana to defendant who sniffed...
