The defendant, Jackey Lee Bond, was charged by information in the circuit court of Macon County with two counts of attempt (murder) (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 8-4(a)) and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 24-1.1). The circuit court dismissed the second count of attempt (murder) as to Ferita Sharee Hayes on the defendant's motion...
