Following trial on appellants Sheri Leone's and Joseph R. Leone's medical malpractice action, the jury returned a verdict in favor of respondent Jordan Goodman, M.D. The Leones subsequently moved for a new trial or, in the alternative, judgment notwithstanding the verdict.
