The child appeals from a judgment that found that he was within the jurisdiction of the juvenile court because he had committed acts that, if he were an adult, would constitute sexual abuse in the first degree. ORS 419.476(1)(a); ORS 163.425. He argues that the court violated his due process rights under the Fourteenth Amendment when it permitted the state to amend the petition at the close of the hearing.
