Plaintiff and defendant, John D. Gragg (Dennis) were married in July 1975 and divorced in January 1988. Due to their inability to obtain the proper financing for the purchase of a home while they were married, they asked Dennis' father William Gragg for financial help. William Gragg saw the house they intended to purchase and agreed to make the down payment as a loan to his son and daughter-in-law and to assume the loan on the balance of the purchase...
