The sole issue in this case is whether estate administrative expenses are entitled to payment prior to a preferred claim under section 306(a)(2) of the Texas Probate Code.4 We hold that only those expenses directly attributable to preserving and maintaining the property subject to the preferred claim are entitled to priority and that not all the expenses claimed in this case are allowable...
