Claimant's decedent, at age 59, began his employment as an underwriter with the employer in March 1982. On October 1, 1982, decedent suddenly collapsed at work; attempts to resuscitate him proved fruitless. The death certificate listed the immediate cause of death as "[c]hronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic ethanolism with fatty liver". Claimant filed a claim for death benefits.
