On June 7, 1986, defendant waived indictment and pleaded guilty to all the five counts of a superior court information, each charging him with committing sexual abuse in the first degree. Defendant was a fourth grade teacher in the Fallsburg Public School system in Sullivan County. The five counts related to defendant's sexual touching of five different female pupils in his class.
