A jury found defendant William Coustin guilty of the offense of armed robbery in violation of section 18-2(a) of the Criminal Code of 1961 (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 18-2(a)). The circuit court of Adams County sentenced defendant to 20 years' imprisonment in the Department of Corrections. Defendant appeals his sentence alleging it was excessive where his codefendant Tracy Cates...
