The state appeals a pretrial order for in camera questioning of a government informant. We affirm.

FACTS

On December 8, 1987, the St. Paul police obtained a warrant to search respondent Jerome Wessels, his car, and his home for stolen property and controlled substances. The warrant was issued on the basis of information reported by an informant. The informant gave the police some methamphetamine ("krank")...
