GARRISON, Judge.

The defendant, Earl Lowe, was charged by bill of information with the attempt to commit simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 and 14:62.2. After a jury found the defendant guilty as charged, the trial judge sentenced him to five years at hard labor, with the first six months to be served without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.
