The appellant in this criminal case was charged with two counts of theft of property on October 15, 1985. He was arrested on December 2, 1986. Amended informations were filed on February 15, 1987, and March 19, 1987. After a jury trial on April 29, 1987, the appellant was found guilty of two counts of theft of property and was sentenced as an habitual offender to twenty-five years in the Arkansas Department of Correction on each count.
