PER CURIAM.

Defendant was charged with assault with intent to rob while armed, MCL 750.89; MSA 28.284. At the conclusion of a one-day waiver trial, defendant was found guilty of attempted assault with intent to rob while armed and was subsequently sentenced to a term of 1 to 2 1/2 years in prison. Defendant now appeals as of right from that conviction, seeking peremptory reversal of his conviction on the basis that he was convicted of a nonexistent crime.
