Juan De Dios Levario Quiroz was convicted of assaulting a United States Border Patrol Officer with a deadly weapon. Levario Quiroz admitted shooting the federal officer, but claims he shot in self-defense. On appeal, he contends that the trial court erred in admitting evidence of a separate and unrelated shooting in which he also claimed self-defense. Levario Quiroz's lawyer did not object to the introduction of the extraneous offense...
