Salvatore O. Perrera and Charles L. Murray, Sr., were indicted along with a third defendant on charges of mail fraud, 18 U.S.C. § 1341, and aiding and abetting, 18 U.S.C. § 2. These indictments flowed from the defendants' involvement in a scheme for obtaining insurance settlements by staging automobile accidents and submitting false claims to various insurance companies.
