On March 6, 1984, defendant, Eugene Sam Salgat, pled guilty to a charge of unarmed robbery, in violation of MCL 750.530; MSA 28.798. Pursuant to a plea agreement, the prosecutor agreed to the dismissal of a charge of armed robbery. On July 2, 1984, the trial court ordered a delay in the imposition of sentence for a period of one year, pursuant to MCL 771.1(2); MSA 28.1131(2).
